UC Riverside Transfer Fall 2016

@dgrenas793 yeah it’s been 3 weeks since I got admitted and haven’t received any award. But I will definitely call them. Thank you so much!

is anyone else here a premed? I decided last semester that’s the route I’m going to take, so now i’ve gotta take all that premed course work from the beginning

Any Engineers want to meet up at Highlander day? I got in as an Elec. Eng.

@H5Guardian yeah I’d be down have you figured out your plan for the day?

lol alright sounds good @grinchmeup. @futureeechick No I haven’t but I will look into it. What about you?

any business admins still waiting??

chass adventure group lol. I’ll see you guys this Saturday.

Yeah I think I’m pretty set. I can send you my agenda in a message if you’d like. @H5Guardian

@TwistedMetal246 me!! i decided last year, but have taken anatomy, physiology, and microbiology, just not the lower bio classes, so the admissions advisor that I had my meeting with told me it was doable, but that it would just be more difficult because I’d be squeezing classes in. For my major though, which is psychology, she told me it’d be easier to double major with neuroscience since it’s still bio and has the courses needed for medschool and it’s easier or something? im sti doing bio tho 'cause I just love bio lmao.

Does anyone here know about the general ed requirements in upper division classes for someone who has completed igetc?

Right?! But wouldn’t that mess us up on the housing application? We would have to indicate on campus. Besides. The apartments are literally. On. Campus.

That doesn’t make any sense whatsoever. I hope the financial aid person just has no idea what they’re talking about.

I can’t imagine that there be any confusion with residence halls vs. on campus apartments. You should ask to speak to someone else like her supervisor or “can I speak to someone other than yourself?” - if she gives you an attitude, get her name and then google whomever the director of Financial Aid is at UCR and voice your “concerns” as a “prospective transfer student who has already been offered admission”. “I’m still deciding whether UCR is the right fit for me, but I’m having some difficulties with one of your staff members at the Financial Aid office.”

@futureeechick Yeah send me your agenda in a message. It makes sense if we roll together because we are majoring in the same major.

I believe they just sent out the admission packet just now and probably won’t receive it till next week.

Still waiting on UCR… I wish they would release their admission decisions in alphabetical order like UCSC… ):

im sorry to hear that. Hopefully you don’t get wait listed :frowning:

@thecuteoneishere Hopefully i’ll be able to fit my coursework in. I’ve only taken one lower level bio class, and a bio of cancer class and no chem so far lmao. I was told by my cc counselor to reserve as much premed coursework to take at the university level since I guess med schools like it better. My major is philosophy though so I don’t think it’ll be too bad fitting in the classes

I’ve already taken precal, do I have to take a math placement again?

@grinchmeup - did you get into an argument with the financial aid lady and so she ended up revoking your entire aid package?
