UC San Diego Class of 2029 Waitlist and Appeal Discussion

they might be continuing the same majors they let off last week if ur friend got off for cogni sci since I haven’t heard of new majors, especially biological sciences and chemistry departments + engineering

anyone know ppl who got in for any international relations majors?

i know they had a big wave last Friday for international relations but as of right now there’s not much chatter

aw man okay well I guess the waves got rlly small this time

bruh this waitlist wave seems so small like I don’t see anything online its killing me. Has anyone else seen major movement from today?

might mean a lot of the ppl who got off last time accepted the spot :frowning:

same question

really? i didn’t see any ir waitlist acceptances last week

My daughter was accepted off waitlist at 4:10 pm for undeclared/humanities. She is likely to turn this down, so one more spot for you guys! GL

Oh so im guessing it is not a big wave all at once if it’s at 4:10 instead of 4 pm. Did ur daughter check prior to 4 pm if her banner disappeared? Was it her first choice?

a friend of mine got off for cog sci or psych

She was not checking as she is committed already to Cal.

okay thank you! congrats to her!

looks like if there’s only trickling and no real waves the waitlist is cooked

im actually so annoyed rn bc they legit released NOTHING today what a waste

im honestly done with this school. zero transparency with this process, no LOCIs either.

No UCs take LOCIs. They’re are so highly applied to its difficult to say how waitlists are going to work because they’re unpredictable. I understand your frustration because I went through the same shat last year but nobody knows what’s going to happen. Just forget about it.

ucla does kinda

I know, but even then it doesn’t make much of a difference, trust–I would know.

Actually UCLA still accepts a waitlist statement from waitlisted students but none of the UC’s consider an applicants level of interest in their decisions.
