I got off the waitlist to ucd and ucsb i’m still waiting for ucsd do you think they will have any movement at all? idk if they officially said if they reached their enrollment for this year??

Someone on Reddit posted that they called admission who said they over enrolled Freshman and that the waitlist is basically closed for freshman. Transfers still have a chance.
If the waitlist is closed do they usually send an email saying it’s closed?
Yeah they do. But that probably means they are just waiting to see if they have any holes to fill with summer melt. It looks like maybe a few one offs will get an offer but by and large they are full for fall.
so when will they come out and ask if ppl want to opt out of the waitlist? would they still admit ppl of the waitlist in july or august? i heard somewhere on tiktok some even got off in july or august.
I knew a girl who got in late July last year as well. She ended up sticking with Cal Poly as she had really fallen in love with that school. Hard to tell what will happen over the summer.

Just to report some news. I asked an account which named UCSD中国区大使（UCSD school representative of China)(I can surely confirm that it is an official account) on Rednotes about whether UCSD now are still doing rolling to admit students(freshman), and it replied Yes. So my stand is: Just be hopeful about the miracle before the very end comes out. Stay strong.
oh okay thats somewhat good, but im a humanities major and ucsd doesn’t seem to be accepting any majors except in the science from what i see. but hopefully this week.
Do you think that UCSD would consider accepting majors like Undeclared or Undeclared-physical science? Would they consider alternative majors?
I sure hope they consider alternate major cuz my alt is hella small (like 10 grads per year)
from what i saw on reddit post i saw some econ, engineering, data science, public health, and psych those were the common majors i saw online but hopefully they will start taking other majors as well.
Just wonder whether there are people whose contact page hasn’t changed yet? I just wanna figure out if there’s really something or the office of admission just refreshed the portals?
mine did change however I personally thing it was just to update the page it doesn’t seem to indicate anything.
One guy in UCSD I asked yesterday said that the admission office is now having a break this time.
So meaning they are still somewhat going through it? I saw somewhere that they didn’t say it’s over but it’s base on the needs of the department no definitive answer whether it’s fully closed.

would this be true for in-state freshman applicants too, though? maybe the rep from China was only referring to international applicants?

About three days ago, I send a message to one official guy who has an account on Rednotes named UCSD 中国区大使 (which I mentioned earlier), asking about admissions’ future plans for freshman, and it was what he replied to me that UCSD is now still doing rollings for Chinese students. So I guess it particularly means rollings for intentional students. I didn’t called the admissions. That’s all I know. Maybe next time I could ask him about your consideration for in-state students.
