anyone talked to UCSD AO or some insiders? Anything you’ve heard about next weekend and July? cuz I saw a post in Reddit said something about UCB waitlist , so I guess whether UCSD would do the same thing for freshman?

The post said that UCB has finalized “a very few” students (only from college of Letter and Science) who will be got off the waitlist and those emails will be sent out from next week to mid-July.

And recently I saw a post on Rednotes, someone from UCSD said that the waitlist vacancy largely depends on how many available spots still remain in campus Housing registration.
someone on reddit that called a lot of colleges said that the person they spoke to said that they are keeping their waitlist going until mid-late august and that UCSD is expecting more acceptances—rolling basis

It’s been a week since last post, anyone heard anything?
I haven’t heard anything. Based on speaking with others who were offered admission from the WL in the past, it could take as late as end of August for those who are willing to wait that long.
any prediction when they would send the email asking if students want to leave the wl?
Does anyone know what happens if you get off the waitlist super late with all the placement tests and training? My kid is committed to another UC and he had to do multiple placement tests and then training modules and webinars to onboard him to his other UC. Then he registers for classes August 30. If you change UCs do they make you do all of this over again quickly?
Likely have to redo all the test and modules if you get off the waitlist for SD. Though, the likely hood getting off the waitlist now is slim to nothing. Berkeley didn’t take anyone off of their waitlist.

Berkeley has closed the waitlist. Anyone knows when UCSD closes the waitlist?
I’m not sure. They said they’ll go into August. I do know of someone who just got off the UCI waitlist but I dont know how much that relates to UCSD.
