anyone got off waitlist in UCSD?

What does it mean for waitlist to go into August? Does it for releasing spots to be got off or closing the window?

Confirmed with admission via email recently, the waitlist will stay open until August, likely mid August. Between now until August, UCSD will either accept more kids off the waitlist, depending on what major is still not full, then in August, the waitlist will officially close and rejections will go out via email. Be happy with the school youāre committed to, the likely hood of getting off the waitlist from now to August is slim to nothing.
Now that UCOP published the 2025 admissions summary, will there not be anymore waitlist movement??

So since these are still preliminary numbers, those numbers can change if more waitlist admits are posted. Until UCSD officially closes the waitlist, there is always a slim chance but not something I would count on.

I so on a reddit post that people got an email saying they are extending the waitlist throughout august but I donāt know if thatās for transfer students since Iām not one but I never got any email from UCSD do I need to subscribe to some email or something like that I opted into the waitlist but didnāt get any sort of email .

itās been a while since i opted out of the waitlist but i just wanted to hop in and say that im rooting for you guys. and if ucsd doesnāt end up taking anyone else from the waitlist, youāll definitely find a place in the college that you are committed to

My son just received an update today from UCSD on his waitlist fate and itās a no 
Fortunately, heās happy with the school heās already committed to and was able to early on set his mind to move forward once he knew he was waitlisted at UCSD. Anyways, just wanted to wish everyone good luck, have fun (both parents and kids!), and hopefully there are more admits that come from the waitlist! Sending positive vibes!
Hey you guys I recently just got an email saying that my waitlist decision has been updated, however, when i signed into my applicant portal and checked I saw no changes? Any advice on what to do?
My son also got an update on the waitlist. Didnāt make it to the structural engineering major
So there wasnāt an official status update change that was shown when logging into the portal. But rather, the overall messaging changed saying that its a ānoā on the waitlist rather than before it stated my son was waitlisted. Hope that makes sense.

Iām a transfer student on the waitlist. On 7/31/25, I received a letter from UCSD stating that the transfer waitlist will remain open after July 31, 2025. Since then, I have not heard anything yet or received any changes on my portal.
