Hi Everyone, I have been following this post for over a month and have been praying that i get into UCSD, as its my #1 choice. So I have the bad message and my parents link has disappeared. I panicked and called the housing office (even though i already live off campus and not planning on living on UCSD campus). The woman in the housing department said I was rejected when she checked my file. I asked if she knew why and she said no let me transfer you to admissions. So I spoke to them and said that I dont know why housing would tell you this as you have nothing posted of whether you were accepted or rejected in the file as of it. I am so confused and frustrated. In admissions she said that results will be posted next week apparently
A little about me, i am a CCC student in san diego looking to transfer to UCSD and majoring in International Studies: Political Science. I currently have a 3.48 GPA and hoping that this will become at least a 3.5 by the end of the semester. I refuse to be negative and pray that i get in. My major isnt impacted, all pre-requisites are completed, IGETC is completed in spring, my GPA is good so fingers crossed everyone. Hopefully we all hear back from them very very soon
Man I hope the GPA cutoff isn’t higher than 3.48 this year. Last year my counselor said it was 3.47 but I was hoping it would be lower. 
I wonder why she would tell you you were rejected but admissions says no?? That’s strange! Praying you get in! UCSD is my dream school, and whether I get in this year or next, I will achieve my dreams 
@husdi619 I’m in the same boat as you. My parent link is gone and I still have the bad housing message. Hopefully, we at least get waitlisted

That school seriously blows…I’ve been there a few times with my cousin and shes the one that convinced me to apply here even though I had 0% interest lol. But whatevs…I actually want them to reject me because it’s all about uc Davis!!! Aggie pride suckas!
But yeah if you like ucsd good luck. But don’t complain when you get there and find out how dead everything is…and “sun god” is the best thing you can attend and then again it isn’t even that great…just based on what my cousin (junior 3rd year) says. Just giving you guys a heads up is all, like totally don’t get offended xD
I am seriously beyond stressed and anxious waiting for results. If UCSD were going to give results out in batches, they should give them out 2-3 weeks apart… but its been over a month the first batch came out. just praying all this wait is worth it. The woman in admissions said to speak to the director after 2pm. I will give them a call and make a fuss over this
@Samantha19 Didn’t you already post this? You need to stop, because nobody cares. I didn’t know you spoke for everybody at UCSD. Like, totally don’t get offended though.
Personally I’m going to learn and prepare for a career, couldn’t care less about the social scene. Have all of San Diego for that. If you need parties and such at the school it just shows a lack of maturity and self sustenance in such areas. To each their own.

Sorry, I’ve really been lurking here for my boyfriend but I am a current undergrad at UCSD and I’d like to say honestly the campus is really nice and it’s really what you make of it. If you like it, you’ll find ways to make it fun and if you don’t click with the campus, you don’t. My boyfriend’s in that situation, trying to transfer from UCD actually because he really didn’t like it there but he loves it here. OFC it’s not going to be like SDSU in terms of raging, but there is definitely parties on campus (I-House and the Village specifically). Yeah it’s not super wild, but it’s not awful either.
I didn’t want to get sucked into this darn Housing issue, but its kinda hard to ignore now. My friends housing message is basically stating that he can’t apply because they don’t know of his admission status, mine says because of my Admissions Status that I can’t apply for it. I definitely think i’m rejected. I have this hot appeal ready tho.
