Hi guys, I have following this thread for along time. actually I have got in UCSD in mid-March. My major is Communications, and my CC transfer GPA is 3.88. I just want to know is there anyone eles majoring in Communications? Because my boyfriend is also majoring in Communications and he has 3.65 GPA, I want to know if he has chance to get in or not.

In the same boat as @ttop220 with the bad housing message and no longer showing the parent link. If it means anything I applied for biochemistry and cell biology, which is no longer impact but I don’t have the strongest gpa to begin with 3.28 @friedchips
@alskardumigg Same position as all of you. I’m 3.5 molecular bio and I still have the bad message and parent link missing. I hope it changes tomorrow morning

cecilia247 - my daughter is also a Communications major with a minor in Business. She has not heard from UCSD yet, but she has a 3.93 with IGETC complete this spring. Were you tag?

I seriously doubt any of those housing messages or parents address things matter at all. Why would you stress yourself out by making unfounded assumptions like that? I haven’t even looked at that stuff at all.
My info: Mathematics-Computer Science B.S.
IGETC: complete.
Recommended courses: All but differential equations and intermediate C++.
GPA: 3.84
College: Warren.

@Samantha19 You don’t need to bash on the school just because you feel like you’ll be rejected. And who gives a crap if it “socially dead” you go to school to learn not to party. I guess you’ll have to learn that the hard way. Glad I won’t be encountering people with your attitude there!
Anyone knows if transfers can change major into an impacted major in UCSD?? I have 3.71(fall,3.76winter)GPA and applied computer science, which is impacted this year…If I were admited by another major, if it is possible for me to change into CS?? UCSD is my dream school~

@ssssssssky a bunch of my friends attend ucsd and 2 of them wanna switch into cs! apparently there’s a LARGE amount of people who want to switch into the major so it’s kinda hard

I am a U-link student, with guaranteed admission. So all the housing stuff is a bunch of hooey.
