Got accepted into Electrical Engineering today 
School: Eleanor Roosevelt. Is this a good school? I don’t know to much about it.
I was wondering also about the “housing” message. I haven’t seen it.
How did you get rejected with that GPA ?
@ellieplusplus No problem. I’d think you should be good to go. I doubt they would accept you if you didn’t meet those requirements already. I’m pretty sure they just want to make sure we don’t fail out of any of those required classes this semester.

@ssssssssky I actually got put into Mathematics-Computer Science (not just mathematics), but from what I’ve found, it is non-impacted so you CAN change majors to that if you wanted. What I’m really wondering is why I was placed into my alternate major - many people were placed into CSE:Comp Sci with lower GPAs, less ECs, etc.
I did some digging and apparently we have to go through a really competitive application process again at UCSD to change into the impacted CSE:Comp Sci major. I submitted a request through UCSD’s acceptance page about possibly addressing this “problem” and I hope to hear back from them soon.

@lakers024 I’m honestly not sure. I completed all the pre reqs on assist.org and my personal statement was inspirational. (Told by two professors and a counselor).
I was wait listed at UCSD as well. Buuuuut I got into Davis and LA, so all is well. :)>-
I was waitlisted at UCSD and but I also appealed my rejection. I refuse to go down with a fight. I was absolutely GUTTED that I was denied. I didnt get into either SDSU or UCSD and hadnt applied for anywhere else. I have a 3.47 GPA, Igetc completed, Pre-req’s completed, good essay’s… I dont know what the problem was. But I will keep fingers crossed that many people will decide to go to other schools and the state of California give more money to UCSD in order to accept people from the waitlist. I am happy for everyone that got in and you guys all deserve it. Lets hope and pray waitlisters get in also.
@stanchevy Hey, I’m so sorry you didn’t get in… your stats seemed amazing. My friend got into SD with a 3.3 but he was military as well. I’m hoping you get into Stanford. I was also hurt by my UCSB rejection but got into SD somehow. It def can be weird at times. Wishing you the best!

UCSD waitlisted me but I got into UCLA with History major!!! I had good housing message last Friday then it changed to the bad on on tuesday 
GPA: 3.56 (I messed up my 1st year at a community college then I took 13 units in the summer and 20 units in the fall with all “A”'s and only 1 b I believe)
Done with all Pr-requisite classes!
Activities: Mostly Chinese tutoring(Native Chinese, international student. I went to 4 years of high school in SoCal). I have done about 140 hours of special needs classroom teacher’s aid and some babysitting works.
Applied: UCLA, UCSD, UCSB, UCD, UCI, UCR, U of Illinois at urbana champaign, Purdue and U of Wisconsin Madison
Accepted: UCLA UCSB, UCD, UCR, Purdue
Pending: UCI, U of wisconsin Madison
Rejected: UCSD and U of Illionis Urbana Champaign(Very first choice school, education major)
I applied UCs history major only because they do not have education in undergrad so I need to major something close to it then go into the education major at grad school.
I think the UCSD housing trick is legit!! So sad UCSD waitlisted me but I got into UCLA so I am very grateful!!!

Housing trick is legit. It cannot be questioned. Not one person has showed a contradiction to the trick today. If you get the "bad’ housing message, you’re either waitlisted or rejected.
