How are early highschool graduates placed on the waitlist?
UCSD like all UCâs does not break out their waitlist admit data by major so there is no way to know your chances. Early HS graduates are evaluated and placed on the waitlist the same as all applicants.
It looks like you are given 7 days to accept or decline.

I know there is not much known about how UC waitlist works, but is it safe to assume colleges will consider waitlist candidates by school/region as well?
when your application gets off the waitlist will you be notified via email?
You should receive an email that there is an update to your portal.

Make sure your student is checking their junk mail or just checking the portal itself regularly. Apparently some have missed it in their email.
