Of course an A in AP Calculus will be considered for admissions but it is not just one grade in one class but the overall application.

I have not seen any Chancellor reception invites other than for the New York reception. I noticed that the UCSB website has been updated with the LA and San Jose reception dates so I am sure the invites will be coming shortly.

When you get a chance can you give us a run down of dates from previous years decisions? Guessing mid to late March? Thanks!
UCSB is one of only 2 campuses that have notified applicants when they will be posting decisions. Here are the decision dates for the last 3 years.
2024: Chancellor reception invites out February 26. Regents notification snail mail around Feb 26 and email Feb 27. All Decisions posted March 19, 2024 around 2:30 PM PST. CCS notifications on March 20, 2024.
2023: March 21, 2023 around 2:15 PM PST Regents notifications on March 27th.
2022: March 22, 2022 around 2:15 PM PST

Keep an eye one UCSB Admissions social media accounts. They are good about posting the date in advance.

Any idea on why the applicant portal is currently closed? Is that a sign that they may be posting updates or admission decisions?! #wishfulthinking
The portal is probably closed for scheduled maintenance.
Does anyone know if anyone in Ventura County has ever been invited to the reception in LA?
I have not seen any Chancellor reception invites for the LA area yet only for the NY reception.

I’ve never heard of Ventura residents being invited to the LA reception.

That’s a bummer, we are just over the LA county line, but based on that it sounds that they just exclude the entire county based on thinking it’s too far 
The LA reception is usually at a hotel near LAX. Most, if not all, of Orange County is excluded as well.
Thanks - really appreciate your insights! If they only knew how frequently I go to LAX they’d realize it’s not really out of the way

My son got an invite to the chancellor’s reception in Bay Area. It came in mail, not email.

Congrats! When did he receive it on the mail?
Must have been yesterday. My husband just pulled it out of the mailbox in the morning.
My son was invited in 2020 and we are in south OC.
