Got accepted to pre-psych & brain sciences (in-state) around 4pm today
wow congrats! does ucsb accepting in-state waitlisted applicants this early indicate good wl outcomes for this year too?
Idk about extrapolating it to the entire waitlist but I know one of my friends and a few others from my high school got in last week
oh huh thats interesting theyre never this early. i know someone from my high school got in last week too iām just hoping they let me off soon as well lol
ah gotcha. best of luck!!
Yo anyone get off for engineering
This might have been asked before, but I was wondering - when the time comes to pull kids off of the waitlist for admission, letās say they have 100 spots that open up - how do they decide which student to admit? Meaning, Iāve heard that itās not based on major - and that thereās no 2nd re-evaluation after the initial admissions application reviewā¦.and that the waitlist opt-ins are not rankedā¦
So does the admissions office just take 100 names off the top of the stack of waitlisters? Or were they ranked originally for the initial admission and the system knows who is up next?
This part is still cloudy for us to understand.
How they admit off the waitlist is not transparent and only admissions knows that information just like how the school decides whom is originally admitted, waitlisted and denied.
Theres got to be another wave today right
Wave?
Daughter just got admitted, in state. Received an email that stated an update to her portal. Has until May 9 to decide, just when I thought she was done.
Congratulations to her and for which major?
History of Public Policy and Law, did not even know that was a major.
according to a comment on reddit there was a āmajor waitlist waveā at ~6:30? iāve only seen a few people get off though?
Congrats to your daughter! Around what time did she recieve the email?
