Waitlisted for psychology. This is a bit rough because UCSB was my son’s “dream school” and now it will be hard to fully move on and mentally commit to Irvine as a great but 2nd choice.

D26 admitted… to alternate major (pre-bio instead of CCS bio).
She applied to biomedical engineering at most schools, but UCSB doesn’t have that major. So we’re not surprised that CCS didn’t see her as a fit. :slight_smile:
She will decline. Hope it helps someone on the waitlist!

S23 (BioMedE) had to make a similar choice to give up UCSB ChemE admit (Both Parents went to UCSB). :slight_smile:

CCS is not for everyone even if you get the admit.
UCI BME & UCSD BioE are way better if you want to stay in-state.
