No ucsb for me, oh well
hey guys can anyone help me? i tagged SB and applied as a biochem major (it was both my selected major and my alternate major bc one is in the bio department one is in the chem department) and i was accepted as a chemistry major??? i am very very very very confused right now

Hey Bio majors and potential future med students… is UCSB your top choice? I really haven’t looked into the school much, but I did apply and got accepted. Now I am considering it as I start to read about it. Wondering if anyone knows more about the Bio department specifically.

i reached out to office of admissions. basically they admitted me for a major i didn’t put as my first or alternate choice…

Rejected… should have expected as much coming from a CSU. Also rejected from UCI and waitlisted at Davis.

@hoshizora: You cannot appeal for a major change. You can only appeal if you are denied admission by UCSB.
And you cannot change majors to EE if you decide to attend.
From the UCSB website:
** Students who enter UCSB as transfer students are only permitted to major in a College of Engineering major if they were directly admitted into that specific major when they matriculated as a transfer student. Transfer students may not petition to change or to add an engineering major.
I’m planning to accept my admission decision! I’m in love with sb and always wanted to go after hs. I guess I’m just waiting for ucla lol! Too bad we can’t drop our instas on here
