Hey y’all so on the transfer acceptance conditions it says maintain an overall gpa of 3.0. Does that mean overall cumulative gpa from CC or just overall last semester gpa? Please let me know if you know! Thank you so much!
@ucsbbbbbbb it is a cumulative gpa of 3.0! Also have to make sure you pass all of your classes with at least a C or greater. You can essentially get Cs in all of your classes this semester and be fine as long as you are at/above a 3.0.
Conditions are same for all admits they don’t have a personalized one
@hoshizora everyone gets a personalized Provisional Contract. The standard
is contact them if two Cs or a D, but many have specific grades noted for specific classes (e.g., B or even B+), minimum GPA for last term, etc.

I thought there was just a general contract that everyone sees because that’s the only one I can find on my portal
Where can I find my personalized one?
Edit: for UCSB I’ve seen my personalized one for other schools but UCSB just seems to take me to the general provisional contract page
Then you got the standard one. ? which is the one you want ?
So is the minimum gpa for the last term is 2.0?
Are there any EE admits here?
In 2018 and 2019, there were 331 applicants but there was a sharp decline in admits. Wondering if there are even less people admitted this year since I only see one EE admit on here
My son, ChemEng major, got accepted. 3.96. CCC transfer.
Congrats everyone who got accepted. These are exciting times for you all no matter where you go. I’ve heard so many stories of people not getting into their “dream school” and ending up over the moon for the school they ended up going to. I swear in a few months you’ll look back on this day and realize any angst was not warranted.
For future applicants, I was accepted today as a Pre+POLISCI major with a 3.62 GPA
@hoshizora i was admitted for EE
@hoshizora i was admitted for EE
Hey what was your GPA?
i have a 4.0
Does anyone know if they send out the packets this year? cause USC canceled the packets due to coronavirus. I kinda want it lol
Aha I want one too
@“Mrs.WolfBlood” All biochemistry majors (and all majors in the Chemistry Department in general) are admitted as “Pre-Chemistry majors” and you must fulfill all the pre-major requirements before applying to enter the full major. If you have already completed them all through transfer coursework, it is only a formality and you will apply once you matriculate.
The pre-major requirements are here: https://my.sa.ucsb.edu/catalog/Current/Documents/2019_Majors/LS/Chem/Biochemistry%20BS_2019.pdf
Congratulations on your acceptance and Go Gauchos!
Oh okay that’s why you got in lol
