@jujubear Linguistics is not an impacted major, that should not be difficult. In fact, check your portal and there may be a link on top that allows you to change your major now.
@jujubear Hello!!! My major is Linguistics too ( Speech-Language Sciences and Disorders) and I got accepted to UCSB

@3Collegeuni Hi! Have you decided yet? I’m looking at both SC and SB. SC has more ling/app ling classes to choose from, but my friends told me SB has more solid Ling department.
has anyone received an admissions packet in the mail? are they not sending them this year?
I’m assuming we’ll be receiving them bc I’ve seen freshmen post photos with their admissions packet. I believe it’ll take up to 3 weeks to get it. So maybe we’ll receive ours in late May.

OMG! I was about to post about this!!! I only got the stickers as well. I thought I would get like a packet full of pictures and stuff.
Has anyone gotten there igetc certificated and how’s the process? I’m trying to get that done before I SIR.

The entire thing is like a postcard & the UCSB stickers are on the back. It’s really basic & simple. I got mine.
I never got a postcard or package. I denied admission and SIR’d to Davis a couple of weeks ago so I doubt I’ll get it, but they’re fun to have regardless

didn’t finish all the major classes and even got a D before this semester surprise got accepted into UCSB and the only one I got in for now. (got wl in UCSD ). Didn’t expect will got the email before June 1st, thought they will announce few days later… but anyway congrats everyone!
Your friend’s conditions will be listed in the acceptance notification of what is expected of them. There are universal conditions for everyone in addition to unique conditions tailored just to ourselves. Some are required to get a B in a specific course. Others are required to just get a 3.0 GPA. So they gotta look at their conditions.
To those accepted from the wait list, are you in state or oos?
I declined my SIR to UCSB & SIR’d to Cal Poly SLO.
I hope someone on the waiting list for Economics is now accepted.
