My son had a 3.97 UW and 4.3 W.
Two national awards
4 year Varsity Captain
Created schools first podcast
Volunter coach - 4 years
Job over summer and breaks - 2 years
Accepted off the wait-list on 5/15.
Declined and chose Davis

3.85 UW. 4.4 W.
Very strong extra curriculars within school and our local community. Boys State. Regional and State awards and honors. Worked 20 hours a week since start of junior year. Varsity sport and served as captain senior year. 8AP classes.

3.92 UW, 4.8 W. Four Year Varsity and 2 year Team Captain. 12 APs. Got all 5 except one with 4. Four AP taken senior year waiting results out soon. Teaching kids mathematics as part time job. EC: Surf/Volunteer ocean lifeguard

Yes so ridiculous. Didn’t think to get accepted by any UC. On waitlist for SB and Berk. Off the SB waitlist a couple of weeks ago. But got accepted/offered multiple out of state and public and private. Crazy, eh?

Our kid was accepted off the UCSB waitlist in May for Psychological and Brain Sciences (3.96 UW/4.48 W, lots of ECs/leadership). Although UCSB was their original dream school, ended up going with Cal Poly. I think the waitlist delay offered time to get attached to CP and affected their ultimate decision. Both great schools.

Did anyone else get put on 3 plus UC waitlists and not get into one? I’m praying my D24 gets off of at least one by mid-July!
