My D24 was accepted in the first wave, however today received regents scholarship.
My S23 last year same situation, accepted in first wave and received scholarship in 2nd wave, not sure if that’s typical…

My daughter hasnt heard but at this point we are thinking she is either waitlisted or rejected. We have moved on as we have other good option. Your grandson has many good options as well

Yes to all this. I first got on these UC threads four years ago with my older kid and I hear I am again with kid #2. Great to have access to so much information during these really hard weeks of waiting. Thanks for all your help!

S23 was admitted off the waitlist in June for Winter admit

Waitlist timeline:
2022: Some admits after May 1, some denials on June 9 and waitlist closed on June 18. 2022.
2023: Small number of admits on Monday April 24, 2023. Rare admit May 3. More admits on Friday May 5. Few admits May 18 and June 6. Few admits around June 18 including CS. Admits on June 30 but for Winter quarter (appears to be a new option for Freshman admits).
If spots open up before the May 15 SIR deadline, then they can pull from the waitlist.
