My son did not get an email but his decision was in the portal. Accepted!

does anyone know if the ones coming out today would already all be out (since someone already received theirs) or they are coming out sporadically throughout the day?
They usually release all the decisions at once and it may take awhile for the email to show up about a portal update so students will post their decisions throughout the day since many may not check their portal.

No email but I had son check his portal and he is admitted! (Pre business management econ).

@Gumbymom do you have any idea from past years what percent of the UCSC admitted class get early notification? And if it’s a rolling admission up through March 20, will decisions come through every day or every few days?
I do not have the percentages of early admits vs. regular admits but the majority of decisions will be in March.
For the last few years, UCSC has done 2 waves of decisions. Early admits in late February and the rest of the decisions in March.
Here is 2023 information:
UCSC: 1st Wave Monday February 27. 2nd Wave March 15, 2023. Scholarship notifications on March 16, 2023
For 2022, March 15 was the 2nd wave.

Yes, you are accepted into a “proposed major” and then need to complete the major requirements to declare.

My kid got a “Why UCSC” email this morning. I wonder if this is sent to all applicants not admitted early to still keep hope alive. I know the other UCs do something similar….
Possible. We didnt the get this email today. So looks like other UCs did the same for early admits to others.
