Last year for S23, portal was updated first and email came a couple hours later.

I think so. My kid was doing their daily portal check across all their schools and saw the acceptance. They don’t have an email yet.

Is UCSC sending only acceptances today, or can a student be rejected as well.
Only acceptances will be posted today. The rest of the decisions (acceptances, waitlisted and denials) will be in March.

My teen just checked his portal- no new messages. Fingers crossed there is still a chance? It is a long wait for the UC decisions, was exciting that some are hearing back today.
He said he didn’t get a “Why UCSC” email either.
I saw someone on reddit got accepted for Literature, i don’t think it’s just STEM

Does UCSC release acceptances in waves? The ones getting in today are like top 2%-3%?
Also the ones getting acceptances today , do they all get some scholarships ? Like for Berkeley they gave Regeants scholarships to the ones accepted in Feb .

For the last 2 years, they have released decisions in 2 waves (End of February and Mid-March). Last year, the scholarship recipients heard the day after the March wave. In 2022, the scholarship recipients and Honors college invitees heard during the early admit wave.
Edited: 2022 March wave also had Honors college invitees.
