UCF Accepted Fall/Summer 2016

Those accepted - how did you find out?

@Lurdes777 once you send your application you are sent an e-mail with information on how to access the UCF Portal. Once in the portal you can click on Self Service, then Undergraduate Admissions, then Application Status. Your status page will summarize what information they have received (transcripts, test scores etc.) and let you know the status of the application (processing, in review, etc.).

In D2’s case it took about a month once they logged everything and switched her status to “in review”. I don’t think the review process itself took a month, however. It was probably in some sort of queue and her turn finally came up.

@Mamelot this is what I see:
If required documents (transcripts, test scores, etc.) have been submitted, your application is currently being reviewed by our admission committee for the Fall 2016 term.
Test results in, High school transcript in. Application submitted email came on October 4th.

Yeah, that’s pretty much what D2’s status read for the past several weeks. And @mrslac1 was saying on this or another thread that per admissions decisions might be six to eight weeks out. Not sure if OOS applicants get a faster turnaround but that would make sense given the disparate volume between FL. residents and non-residents.

Yes, UCF advisors told my son the “average” wait time is 6-8 weeks. There are obvious exceptions for those with stellar stats. We are just reaching the 5 week mark (from when they rec’d scores & transcripts), so hopefully we will get a decision within the next couple weeks. They also told him after the 8 week mark, feel free to call or email them to inquire.

Has anyone received any scholarships from UCF? I believe scholarships were supposed to be sent out in the beginning of October, but I haven’t heard anything yet.

@nolanconcepts I was wondering the same thing, I’ve been checking my.ucf religiously to see if it gets updated but no luck yet. Hopefully we’ll find out soon!

I applied for Summer 2016 admission on November 1st.

apw005522 were you deferred to summer term or they want higher ACT scores to allow you admittance to the fall?

@apw005522 Have you received a letter by mail? What is a reason for deferral?

I actually got an email saying I was deferred until further notice because i still have 0.5 credits of math remaining. Once my counselor confirms that it will be completed before graduation, they will continue to review my application. @Lurdes777 @crivili3

Has anyone heard anything about scholarships? I heard the first round was supposed to go out late October but so far, nobody I’ve talked to has gotten a notification.
