There was no discussion of aid with my son. However, we didn’t apply for any financial aid, so maybe that’s why it wasn’t mentioned.
Hey guys, I recieved a big update that I think would make a significant impact on my app. However, I’ve already submitted my LOCI before recieving this update. Do you think it would be a good idea to email my regional admissions counselor regarding this update? Or should I just upload a second LOCI to my portal?
I sent an LOCI to my AO 9 days ago. He responded that he’d let me know if any space opened up later in the spring (I wouldn’t be surprised if this stretched until summer with all the FAFSA delays). I’ve seen a good amount of posts claiming they got a call and were offered admission, but I haven’t heard anything since then. Good luck!

If it helps at all, UChicago has been radio silent with me. So far, I’ve sent two emails to my regional admissions counselor and submitted a LOCI in the portal. I’m sort of assuming by now that they would’ve at least notified me or confirmed that they got my emails and letters so…

When did you send your LOCI? It took 2 business days to get a response a month ago. I would assume they are very busy this week making calls, sending emails, and meeting with the committee to see where they stand with numbers so assume response times are longer. Good luck.

Any intl’s got off the waitlist?
I looked at last years waitlist thread and a status update email came out on may 5…
I sent the emails to my regional admissions counselor March 18th and April 1st. My official LOCI that I submitted to the portal was on April 23rd. Honestly, it was a pretty well constructed LOCI, but I won’t be hurt if I never hear any good news from UChicago.
Dude, that would be awesome if it came out today. The suspense is killing me 
UChicago is known to call to invite you off the waitlist rather than sending a status update. From what I know and based on posts from last year, if we were to get a portal update without receiving a call or an email, that would mean we are rejected. As well, it is expected from college career counselors that UChicago will continue calling in the coming weeks. This is due to the FAFSA delays and extensions for commit dates. I wouldn’t base off the dates from last year to this year just because of FAFSA. I hope we get in this week!

What’s the word on Chicago waitlist this year? Seems like a fair amount of movement. Friend of the family is on waitlist.

I am also looking for this info, for my daughter. She is waitlisted.
It does seem as if in the past, the waitlist has been closed the Friday of the first full week of May–so, tomorrow?

This year may be different since there have been delays with FAFSA.
