Those interested might try re-arranging the letters and punctuation of the entire tweet. Maybe check previous wording for guidance? Some words are just going to be obvious and you can remove those immediately. Not any good at anagrams but the strange wording got me wondering. Spent about 10 minutes with it and the “coincidences” are way too unlikely. My bet is that it’s an anagram tweet that will give you the release date and time (or time of day). So they were on time with their notice, but it’s not at all clear that the date will conform to previous years. You will just have to unscramble and see for yourselves

We plan on releasing admissions decisions for Early Action and Early Decision I applicants on Wednesday, December 18th in the late afternoon. Students will receive an e-mail when decisions are released and will be able to view their decisions in their UChicago Accounts.
They just announced on twitter. Decisions are out Wed. December 18th in the late afternoon (CT).

You are right. But it seems like they are talking about the “mid-year” report, i.e. at the end of the Fall semester. There is no mention of the first quarter. So this may be more relevant in case my son is deferred.
^ @AnxiousDad2024 oh yeah, agree on that. He should wait to see what happens next week and send in anything that strengthens his app. should he end up deferred. If accepted he might be off the hook till final transcript (assuming he enrolls).
