This is what I had figured. I had assumed that ED applicants would not longer see there’s because of the binding nature of their decision.

Does anyone have any idea if UChicago takes many people from EA rounds?

Try clicking on it and see what the link brings you to. In previous years during rd it brought them to a waitlist form.

It’s hard to tell but it most likely means they have made a definitive decision on you.

I’m not sure if all the talk about the application withdrawal button is just people going insane before their decisions come out or if it actually holds some merit. I can’t imagine that UChicago would just let this kind of error happen.

My parent received an email “Parent Early Decision Agreement” from admission office on Friday. This is to assure binding of ED. Did anyone’s parents receive similar email last week?

Not really, but it’s been 4pm EST traditionally. I think latest is 6pm. So let’s wait
