I got accepted through appeal on May 29th and found out when I got a welcome to the UCI Anteater family email the next day. Did not expect to get in through appeal, and honestly totally forgot about it anyway since I was planning on transferring into USC through the Viterbi Pathways Program. Just keep up hope guys, because if I can get in, you all definitely can as well. Good luck everyone!

Congrats! Hey do you mind telling us if you got an email or if your status on your portal changed?
Yes, sorry I didn’t post earlier. I have a 3.93/4.00 UW GPA, 4.0 UC GPA, 31 ACT, and decent ECs and essays. My major is Computer Science and Engineering. Yes, my portal did change, but no I did not get an email saying my portal status changed oddly enough. I actually only found out a day later when I got the “Welcome to the Anteater Family” email that they send to all UCI admits sometime after they’ve been admitted. So if it wasn’t for that email, I may literally never had found out that I was admitted. So it might be smart to keep checking your email and making sure that you got in.

Hey guys, so I got rejected via email last Friday. For some reason, my portal hasn’t updated since March. Is anyone having the same issue?
I appeal but it didn’t update on my portal but my financial aid got updated so does that mean I got in, I got offered financial aid.
@Kubell: Admissions and FA office are separate. If you did not get an email or portal update stating you have been accepted, then no you did not get in. FA office just has your FA package ready in case you are accepted.
@Gumbymom I see because its weird that my uci portal changed to appeal summary but nothing else, and i only got my FA package and told me to do these 4 steps idk
@Kubell: Many students received the FA package and were asked to complete the information but unless your portal or email states you are accepted, you are not accepted as of yet.
