Does anyone that was waitlisted have any changes to their financial aid portal?
Has anyone heard back from Comparative Literature (1st choice major)?
My second choice was History.
Waitlisted last night.

I’m kind of in shock but I’m okay with it. UCSD was my first choice anyways and is closer to home. UCI was actually my safety, which is a little funny. But oh well. Go Tritons!
Yes, my DS was waitlisted and had his financial aid portal status updated on 2/2. A week later he received his Qless financial aid email. We thought it could be a good sign but he was waitlisted yesterday…
It says that for everyone on the fin aid page
My son was accepted in February and the financial aid page is the same as it has always been…the office said financial aid would be released by April 15th
My friend just got rejected this morning. Im anticipating that the rest of us will find out now
Pretty sure it’s easier to update the page for everyone than pick and choose the acceptances etc
I am super confused because I don’t understand the rolling admissions. If they have done a/w/r in the span of a couple of days in the same pattern for these last couple of years, what is the point of having rolling admissions? It would be clear to everyone whether or not they have been accepted fully within two days and everyone else wait listed or rejected.
when was the last time someone was accepted?
@Morganmom saturday
we gonna need stats on the amount of waitlists after all this is over
just got rejected
@tongggg just now?
My D just got rejected too. At least we know now and can move on. Congrats to everyone who got in!
Enjoy college - wherever you guys end up!!
yup someone i know just got rejected
im a bit concerned because this situation with irvine does not make sense. Last year (if we estimate and exclude the amount of people off waitlist. let’s say 1000) the amount of people admitted was 27,000ish. It seems as though there has been an extremely small batch of acceptances so far. I would estimate 10,000 so it does not make sense for the acceptances to be concluded.
I agree, however, maybe just a lot of students who have been accepted are not college confidential posters. My D still hasn’t heard anything and I am still so hopeful.
