Pretty freaking happy with a wait list decision considering my GPA and you never know.
Waitlisted for Computer Science, alt Computer Engineering.

No Tag nor IGETC.
Prereqs: Done
Accepted: CSUF
Rejected: UCR, UCB, CSULB
UCI is my #1 choice, so I’ve submitted the SIP. I hope I find their decision before June 1, which is the last day for transfer enrollment in CSUF.
If this may be deemed useful, I found my portal turned green at around 2 pm today(@potholes yep, I obsessively checked it XD). I didn’t receive any messages from the portal or my email, but they did send me a confirmation for the SIP. Nothing on spam folder either.
WAITLISTED!! the decision upset me the whole night, i applied with Chemical engineering major (TAGed with all needed courses including majors classes with completed IGETC). I dont understand the term “Transfer Admission Guarantee” anymore for what they have been showing us is just a liar.

Just know it says on the UCI website you can submit their SIP and also submit your SIR elsewhere and it won’t affect your admissions decision but if you get off the wait list and choose to go to UCI then you lose your deposit.
Wow I don’t get how people are getting wait listed with TAG. I didn’t tag but shouldn’t it be transfer admission guarantee?
@CancelOut i have no idea man, very very DISAPPOINTED about UCI, if they cant guarantee a spot for a student, they should not have been allowed students to apply for TAG. It totally make no sense to me at all.
@mcrazy2000 yeah I’m sorry that you got wait listed. Honestly kills the point of having tag at all. Wait list is such a tease… Just more waiting to go…

Waited so long for my decision but finally got it, waitlisted which means I have to wait even longer now…
Suprised to see how many TAG’s got wait listed, I didn’t tag so I hope that doesn’t ruin my chances of getting off the waitlist? I was also waitlisted at UCSD it’s the worst to be in this situation but worst comes to worst I’ll probabaly just apply again next year with all my prereqs done.

I tagged and it’s already 9 o’clock…and I haven’t received anything once again…I guess tomorrow it’ll come? Seems like today they sent out waitlisted people?
@yaz0426 Unfortunately because of past trends it seems like if you didn’t get a waitlist notification today it’s a rejection tomorrow. What’s weird though is a lot of people who submitted a tag haven’t heard anything, oh well we’ll see what happens since I didn’t get anything today either.
