Got accepted into UCI finally Friday afternoon! Criminology major
Are you sure? I got in as Comp Sci and Eng at the time because the UC’s hadn’t been updated with my W. I have since let them known. TAG is guranteed as long as you meet all requirements. To be allowed into the major we need Physics up to Electromagnetism and Single-Variable Calculus with one year of high level programming prior to the Fall of enrollment.

Guys I have a question:
I was told by a counselor that if I wanted to, once I get to UCI I could switch my major from Econ to Business Administration???
I thought Business Administration at UCI was damn near impossible to get into???
Can anyone elaborate please?
@TonyStark93 Counselor at your CC? To be honest, I’m not sure if it is for your CC, but I know sometimes the counselors at my CC misinform their students on situations like these.
I’m not an expert myself, but I can tell you it’ll be difficult to switch over to Bus Admin (since it’s impacted). I have heard of successful changes to an impacted major and unsuccessful changes to an impacted major, but in the end, it’s really hard to tell because it depends on which dept, which school, etc. Each dept at every school has a different policy so I would suggest you to talk to someone from the dept at UCI (or attend the transfer events at UCI and ask them there if it is possible) to confirm if you are able to do that. I was facing a similar situation myself and I was told to contact the department beforehand to see if they would allow it.

Hey guys, my parents are HOUNDING me about registration classes for UCI. When and how should I do it? I’ve only gotten a couple of emails from UCI, but most are invites to the orientation or invitations to explore the school.
@TallOne123 as far as I know we need to wait for the orientation day. There, the advisers would help us with infroming us of the classes we need to take depend on our major, and will show us how to take classes and tell when we can enroll!
Do you know how hard is it to enroll in classes for CS in UCI? and how crowded would the classes be?

@TayDee I’ve realized nobody responded to you. If you don’t withdraw your SIP, I think you’ll just be on the waitlist? You don’t have anything to lose.
Thank you. I just wanted to see if I get accepted, but I’m not sure if I really want to go there just yet.
So I sent in my appeal (I was waitlisted) and my portal changed to the purple banner that says my appeal has been received and is pending and below that is the original green banner that says I was waitlisted. However just today it went back to displaying only the green waitlist banner and the purple “appeal received” banner is gone. Has this happened to anyone? Getting a little worried here…
