I have 3 mentions of waitlist in my application. What do y’all have?
Tho idt css means anything
I have it too. It says for waitlist, I feel like everyone has it.
ye everyone does
Unfortunately, my guess is that there will be no obvious portal astrology for UCLA. I don’t think there has been in recent years.
I think I may have found the 9-digit UCLA ID number used to create the UCLA Logon ID.
Here’s how to find it:
- Navigate to the portal here
- Inspect element and Ctrl+F (or Command+F on Mac) for “__VIEWSTATE”
- You will see a long string of uppercase/lowercase letters and numbers mixed with some slashes and plus symbols. This is in base64 format.
- Copy everything between the quotation marks in
value="long string here, copy this"
. It should only be the orange-colored parts. - Navigate to Base64 Decode and paste the value obtained in step 4.
- Click decode. You should see some gibberish followed with your name, address, city, postcode, major, etc.
- There should be a 9-digit number near the beginning of the decoded string.
Can anyone else report back if they were successfully able to find this 9-digit number? I surmise that the presence of a 9-digit number indicates acceptance. This is because UCLA IDs take the form of a 9-digit number, and I see no reason for them to allocate ID numbers to rejected students.
Please report back with findings, and remember that this is all entirely speculative. Take this with a grain of salt.
yes its there
Its there for me. Do you have it?
I have it as well
have the decisions been loaded in yet? i’d assume so…
Might be a good sign honestly. We need to see if anyone doesn’t have it first thought.
i have it! it has a - sign in front of it, do you guys have that as well?
Yes i had a - sign in front of it as well
Same
I have this too.
-(9 digits) for me.
Probably means nothing then, and it’s just their internal application ID. Or maybe they do allocate UCLA IDs to all applicants.
I do not have the - in front of the 9 digits, but I have a bunch of question marked figures… maybe it’s because I am on MacBook?
I am also on MacBook but I had the - in front of the numbers
When I put it into the decoder, most of it wasn’t clear except for the 9 digits near the beginning. The majority of it was weird symbols.
