Cool, thanks guys!

Over Thanksgiving and Spring Break and stuff, are the res halls closed? Or can we still stay there if we’re not planning on going home?

they’re open during thanksgiving. i don’t know about spring break

the only time you have to leave is winter break. during other breaks the dorms are still open. dining halls might be closed though.

Thank you!

Do the wristbands for Bruin Bash run out quickly? I’m afraid I won’t be able to get one since i’m moving in on the last day.

Anyone know the actual size of the bed for dorms?

Twin XL.

10

What does 10 mean?

xbankx, for the love of God don’t buy from RHL. I accidently tore a towel by stepping on it.

It’s used when you don’t have the ten characters necessary to make a post. It’s
not part of the bed size or anything.

xbankx,

When people type “10” or 10cha , etc… it means they are typing the remaining characters required.

This forum requires that a reply be 10 characters or more.

So if someone wants to simply reply, “Friday!” they would still need 3 more characters so they would type “Friday! 10c”

random question, but when a professor says “section” he means a discussion, right?

In the hall/plazas, is there a keyhole on any of the desk/closet drawers to safely store personal belongings? And if there is, is the key provided?
Also, if we get a laptop lock, where should we tie the lock to?

zzzboy: yes

martynpig: The closets in the halls do, but not the one under the loft. As for the plazas, RT/RV/HS have a drawer with a lock. De Neve and Hitch do not. I’m not sure about Sunset

its a place for you to put a padlock or combination lock. its not a built in key lock.

If you’re so worried about personal belongings, you could bring one of those little safes.

ok so for chem20a, my professor is scerri. Now i have three questions about the textbook for his class.

1) he said he does not heavily relies on it. He assigns hw he doesn’t grade from it. Also he says owning it is optional. So, people that might’ve taken his class or something, do i really need to pay 160 for it?

2) if i don’t buy it, i can always use the library reserves. Is it a pain using the library reserves? as in, do they get checked out fast, etc etc etc…

3) how much is that course reader?

thanks :)

to anyone that was given a private loan through their eFAN: It says that we go to collegelenderlist.com and find our school and apply through there. It only lists three different schools (Anderson, Nursing, and Extension). I assume I choose Extension since this is the closest one that applies to me. I chose Wells Fargo for my lender, so do I just apply for a loan through their site for the amount on my eFAN and UCLA disburse them like my Stafford/etc loans (ie: a certain amount every quarter)?

nbui3, scerri is alllllll about the reader. dont worry about the book.
