im not sure if I want to do biochem, so would I be better off taking Physics 1A for pre-med?

the 1 series is tough. i wouldnt do it if you are just keeping your options open. just pick an LS major or do biochem lol.

if there is no placement test for the 30s calculus, then why is there a precalculus, is that for students who didnt take precalculus in high school, and if you are a transfer, do you need to take precalculus again before you can take calc? What do economics majors usually take, the 30 series or the 3 series. Thanks.

Looks like the 30 series for Econ (based on the department website).

And about the Diagnostic test:

I was just checking My UCLA a few minutes ago to make sure they received my honors scholarship application, and there was already a link for me to view my awards results. I was linked to the form letter that they issue to people who didn’t get any scholarships (and the letter was dated May 13, which is when they told us to check My UCLA to see if we won anything). Granted, my essay/personal statement weren’t brilliant or anything, but I didn’t think they were so bad that I’d be instantly rejected the very same day the applications were due, haha. Is the rejection letter just kinda like the default message for now (I hope)? Did this happen to anyone else who applied?

Bump 10 char

Does UCLA have an admit day?

confidentiality- UCLA calls them College Days. They are scheduled from 4/6-4/10

Does anyone know of on-campus double-sided scanners that students can use for free? Perhaps in a media lab or in the DESMA area (wherever that is)? I know there are one-sided scanners in Powell. I might try them out since my scanner is incredibly old and slow.

is bruinwalk gonna work again? they gotta get that stuff straightened out!

do u choose teachers during orientation as well? and is it first come first serve for teacher signups so should i choose the earliest date?

As long as the profs name is listed with the class you sign up for the class and the specific teacher at the same time. It does help to be at an early orientaion session since you get earlier picks at freshman cluster classes/discussions, popular classes, etc. Everything will be explained at orientation and you will be well advised before you actually register but I do think that if you can attend one of the first sessions you should. I believe sign ups start on June 1 and you must register early that day or all the early sessions will fill up.

Exactly. The professors for the classes are listed with the classes, and you sign up for class times at orientation, so the earlier the better.

When do continuing students schedule their fall?

I just checked…priority enrollment for continuing students is June 23, first pass is June 26 and second pass is July 7. So all continuing students will have signed up for classes before the first session of orientation starts their registration (on the last day of orientation).

I just mailed my BruinCard terms and conditions forms along with a passport photo but I forgot to write my UID on the back of the photo with a felt pen/marker (which the UCLA new bruin website says to do)…will this be a problem?

How do we know what classes to sign up for when we are freshmen?
Do we just sign up for anything? soooo confused. someone help. ):
I’m undeclared, but going premed. what should i sign up for?
(ideally, i would like to know before the orientation so i can pick professors )

check your majors website mebe for a recommended schedule.

for u its prolly just chem, math, ge.

How long do you guys think Spring Sing will be?

is it impossible to get a double room instead of a triple first year?

My friend got a double after requesting it through a CAR on the housing website for first year.
