Caffeine is a must of college students, no? I’d rather stick to my tea than drink coffee on a regular basis. With that said, how hard is tea to come by on campus?

Easy to find. Get your own if you’re picky (thermos, microwave to warm up water, teabags = too easy)

I find myself highly dependent on caffeine for programming projects and exams, but I’m trying to cut back on it since it’s not truly necessary if you manage your time well and get a good night’s rest I used to get tea from Bruin Cafe late at night when I lived at the dorms.

Hey guys…I didn’t pass one of my ap exams and my teachers really want me to get it re-scored but I feel like it’s not really likely that they miss up the exams…What do you think?

First, check to see if it actually gets you any credit. And if you don’t want to go through the trouble of filing an appeal, don’t. (But inform your teacher politely)

I don’t think a 2 will get you any credit unfortunately.

I don’t know. I feel sort of obligated to do it because one teacher paid for my fees and another helped me a hellva lot but I don’t want to rescore it because I feel like if it’s the same or worse or something I’m just gonna disappoint them more and more and I already feel stupid.

are there soda dispensers in the dining halls, so i can get soda w/ my meal?

yea theres soda dispensers everywhere

Yeah when I visited there were many but sodas not good for you, drink water.

thanks! are there hot water dispensers in the dining halls too? for tea…cuz i have a billion lbs of tea i just bought.

dining halls have tea (lemon, green, cranberry apple. earl grey) and hot water.

Julie, I meant, does a 3 actually get you any real credit.

can someone explain to me what the difference is between a GE and a GE Cluster class? thankss

a ge is basically any class. a ge cluster is a special, year long program where you get the most ge and college requirements knocked out simultaneously if you actually commit to taking all 3 parts of the ge cluster. wait until orientation and you will find out

Also keep in mind that you’re not really committing to a year long class by signing up for a cluster, you can “drop” it by not signing up for the next version of the class next quarter.

I’m picking my third class right now, and I’m divided between Eng 85 (American Novel) and Women’s Studies 10. Aside from reading in another thread that Women’s Studies 10 is an easy social analysis class, can anyone tell me anything else about it? Also, what can anyone tell me about Eng 85? Any help would be appreciated.

WS10 was pretty cool. Also depressing. Helps you change the way you think about things. I wrote a bit about it in another thread. Too lazy to look it up for you, though.

do bruins get any special discounts at westwoods stores/restaurants?

How do freshman sign up for English Comp 3 classes? If the counselor does it for you, do you have any say in which section you sign up for?

And sapphire, if you want any help finishing that mountain of tea bags, I’m your guy. I’m looking to brew my own tea also.
