There’s one bunk bed and one bed lofted above a desk. There’s a virtual tour for Sunset Village, which should give you a good idea of what a plaza triple looks like.
Southeast Asian 1 is easy and Music 15 or any lower div ethnomusic class is good.

ah, thanks grapesoda

@sapphire: i once had to resort to public transit to get to disneyland. it CAN be done, but not easily.

my method: blue bus from ackerman to wilshire/westwood. metro rapid 720 to 6th and grand. metro line 460 to disneyland. fairly cheap, but a LONG ride, and i didn’t have to take the bus back to school that day.

other ways to get there (for a bit more money) are the flyaway to LAX, and the various disney-bound buses that go from LAX on a regular basis.

are there really ID checks in chem 14a lavelle?

Just wondering if anyone who submitted a CAR has heard anything back. Im a transfer student by the way.

do you need any background knowledge on music theory or composition in order to get an A in Music 15? Like what does the class consist of? Analyze history or music or do you have to know notes and scales or something like that?

I chose the discovery loan on my efan and now need to sign the MPN for discovery… any one know where to find this?

do you have to bring your own ethernet cable for dorm internet?

yes bring your own ethernet cable unless u want to solely rely on wireless.
but i HIGHLY recommend your own, and make sure its not too short, there are only 2 ethernet ports in each room, so if u get the desk away from the ports, ull need a pretty long one.

@gmargos, thanks! whats a ‘long’ cables’ measurement approx.?

Are there dorm cleaning services on campus, like to empty trash bins and clean bathrooms? I think I’m going to bring a vacuum from home and a small trash bin, but do I bring scrubbing sponges and the works as well?

This question is silly but I need clean living quarters :)

you have to take out the trash yourself and there are cleaning ladies for your bathroom if you are in a plaza… if you are in a hall they clean the general bathroom obviously

Is it possible to change majors by just calling or e-mailing the school, or is it mandatory to make an appointment with the department counselor and be physically present there when you’re making the change? I’m an incoming freshman, btw, and the major that I want to switch to is not an impacted one.

If you haven’t enrolled yet, you can do it easily at orientation. Once you’ve enrolled it becomes more difficult. Generally there are forms you have to fill out and whether they’ll let you change immediately depends on department policy.

^ it depends how big of a switch that will be.

Darn, I just went to orientation. I’m planning on switching to English. I’m calling the department tomorrow. Do you think they’ll be lenient on me and make the change through the phone, or will I have to actually go over there and fill out forms?

I don’t think you can change majors over the phone, but it is a really really simple trip to Murphy. You don’t have to meet with any counselors or anything like that. Just go to the college of letters and sciences window in Murphy and say “I want to change my declared major” - there might be a short form or something to fill out, but thats it.

You can’t change majors over the phone, because there is no way to verify that the student is actually yourself.

It’s not difficult process, or else people won’t be switching majors like 3-5 times.

Thank you for all your help, everybody.
