Yes @citybus i was admitted and i received the email.
@dpatt thank you, it will be difficult to contain myself until she is able to log on tomorrow. Congrats to everyone admitted.
@dpattt sorry I left off a t but the previous message is for you.
@citybus Yeah, I was accepted yesterday and got the financial aid email about an hour ago. Congrats on your daughter’s acceptance!
No problem @citybus and congrats to your daughter
Accepted! Not going to lie, I was a bit surprised that I got accepted! My test scores are pretty low compared to everyone else!
SAT: 1800
ACT:27
GPA 4.0 (unweighted) 4.4 (weighted)
Not sure about my UC GPA.
I Have a good number of EC and not many volunteer hours but I commented on my app that having a part time job made it pretty hard to volunteer.
I think my essays were pretty good, they got me Regents at Berkeley.
Is a net price of $9500 average for UCLA or is it on the high side?
Accepted- OOS
SAT- 2220 (720 CR, 790 M)
GPA- 3.8 UW, UC GPA- ?
President’s Volunteer Award, Proclamations from General Assembly, County Executive.
Little above average essays.
Probably my EC’s that got me in.
Is it true that UCLA only accepted 6% of all applicants?
@11Premed11 No. Approximately 15,000 were accepted out of 92,000. The 5,700 number you may be referring to is the estimated number freshman that will enroll
@mohshawks ya my net price was 8,700. But it will be 7,200 because I’m going to go to a work study.
Are you all going to Bruin Day?
@uclabound1 yes, I’m so excited
@PCMguy any Ivy, Stanford, CMU, Berkeley. Realistic choices are CMU and Berkeley. I hope I get into at least one of them lol.
@uclabound1 Yep! HBU?
I really want to go, but I have to convince my overprotective parents first 8-|
@uclabound1 how are they going to handle it when you go to college?
@uclabound1 Haha, I feel you. I’m looking at the Admit Weekend for Black students and I’d really like to go but… my parents are already going to struggle w/ leaving me for 2 days at orientation wherever. Your parents do know that they can tag along, right? My parents do come but they end up turning me loose because I start doing my own thing
accepted OOS.
I can’t pay for it–33K
Its honestly kind of a joke how much UCLA costs for OOS kids who don’t receive financial aid
I can afford it…but holy s*** room and board… I really wish I could go to Bruin Day but I live on the east coast and already had spring break. Missing like a week of school would be problematic.
