does anyone know how many are accepted for musical theater out of how many applicants? we are curious as to how selective they are…
@dramamother look under college majors you will see the musical theater fourm. There you will find a UCLA fourm… Congrats to your son!
Hey, did any GIRLS here audition for the UCLA acting program? I know a few guys that auditioned and have heard back but i’m a girl and haven’t heard anything back yet. If you know anything please let me know.
I guess so
Did anyone here accept a wait list offer? What are you guys planning to write in the “optional” space that they provide?
Is it actually true that only 5700 were accepted out of 92000? Or did they take into account the yield rate of UCLA, which is around 33%, I think?
They took into account the yield rate @TanTheeeta
I was going to go through and like everyone’s decisions, but I got lazy. Sorry :’(
Waitlisted for ChemE- 2160, 34 ACT, 750 Math 2 and Chem, UC GPA 4.29
First non-acceptance zzzz. I have disappointed Bruin parents, but thankfully UCLA wasn’t my top choice (maybe I can convince my parents to pay for UT OOS now MWAHAHA). I’m glad someone else got in who may have been more interested in UCLA!
Congratulations to everyone who got in!!!
@collegeswag1997 I accepted the waitlist offer just for kicks (also because I did really well last semester). I wrote my grades from last semester and the classes I’m taking this semester.

Weaknesses: GPA wasn't super high compared to others, test scores are really low! I'm not that great of a test taker.. I didn't have the time and money for SAT/ACT prep classes either.
Why you think you were accepted/waitlisted/rejected: I think I really stood out because of my personal statements.
General Comments: Honestly blown away by my acceptance… My stats are so low.
I didn’t take any weighted classes my 1st 2 years because of color guard… I spend about 30-36 hours a week focusing on that activity but during my junior year I did something different to make a difference in my community hence why I serve my church and feed the homeless. It really is holistic. I only know 3 other people from my school that were accepted to UCLA. A lot of the smarter people from my school were wait-listed/rejected.
@imthereal seems pretty impossible though. Oh well, I accepted too. Just don’t know what to write in the mass of space they provided.
@SteventoCollege The regent scholarship starts at a base award of $2000 no matter the financial circumstances of the scholar. It isn’t until after that they fund the scholar’s tuition with the regent scholarship that way they cover any unmet need with university grants. Which is how it led to covering all of my first year (net cost=$0) and according to my college counselor and other reputable sources, the rest of my college years.
:bz
Anyone know how to find a roommate?
Anyone else get an Achievement Scholarship??? I didn’t even know it was a thing until I checked my Provisional Financial Aid letter!! This just made my decision a lot harder because now the cost is equal to that of USC for me!
Is there hope for solid OOS financial aid if I get in on the waitlist?
Were we supposed to receive an email about financial aid? I never got one…
All the OOS students I talked to didn’t get much aid. * I am in state
@maddi12 you are suppose to create an account in UCLA Log on
when are we supposed to get our packets?
I really want my packet soon
