UCLA CLASS OF 2021 APPLICANT THREAD

I just realized how expensive UC is for non-state residents… my dreams are crushed

In the end, a lot of us were rejected. But here’s to a great decisions thread! T’was lit!!

Rejected and totally ok with it as I am going to SDSU for Nursing!!!
UC GPA 4.08
ACT 31

Accepted to econ OOS, 35 ACT, 4.0 UW GPA

rejected… 4.33 gpa & 1430 sat, lots of ECs & good essays. ethnic minority. i don’t know what made me disqualified

@roonilwazlib100 Same… was rejected with a 34 ACT, 1450 SAT, 4.29 UC GPA, decent EC’s and Essays. Theres’ no telling who’s gunna get accepted to UCLA man. Only the most unique of the unique get accepted. But with those credentials, I’m sure that you have tons of other options!

I’m on the same boat. I got into both UCSD and UCLA for Biology. I am honestly considering UCSD for Biology because I want to do Medical School. UCLA will murder my GPA. Any advice from anyone? UCLA will be twice as expensive, and I got a scholarship from UCSD. But who gives up UCLA? UGH.

lol got waitlisted. congrats to everyone who got in, and to those who didn’t, know that you’ll flourish elsewhere

Waitlisted:
4.5 to 4.6 W GPA
4.0 UW GPA
ACT: 30

@yafavgirl It’s probably tempting, but knowing that you will have an extra 4 years of med school to pay for, UCSD will be the wiser choice. In all honesty, UCLA is more widely recognized, but it’s not as though UCSD isn’t a top public school. Med schools will want to see a good GPA.

Waitlisted, intended major was Chem E
4.04 UC GPA, 2170 SAT, perfect subject tests.
I guess my SAT saved me from being outright rejected, which is better than what I was expecting lol

I got in and I’m honestly so so happy and thankful. I’ve been following this thread for quite a while but I finally decided to chime in. I’m really sorry to those who didn’t and I hope you all find your place. Trust me I know rejection; I got rejected from Northwestern today so I certainly didn’t expect this.

Daughter accepted. Also in at UCSD and Pomona College.
GPA UW 4.0, W 4.9 SAT 2350. ACT 36. 3 AP Junior (5’s). 5 AP to take this year. Valedictorian. NMF. Presidential Scholar Invitee. Officer in clubs inside and outside HS. High achieving S.

Feel sorry for all the hard working S that didn’t make it…not then end of the world…doors will open.
