UCLA Class of 2024 Appeal Thread

@bryanngocpham nope ?

Pretty sure the reddit one is fake

wait guys… I read the post… shouldnt it be a normal acceptance letter not like ā€œwe’ve read your appealā€ ?? My waitlist acceptance letter just showed that I was accepted.

She posted her letter and the appeal acceptance letter does not look like that…it will just be a regular acceptance letter

If more people report acceptance I’ll believe it. But i’m going to take that post with a grain of salt.

The letter looks legit to me. What’s the fluff with it?

It could very well be real. Doesn’t seem fake to me but who knows

idk because with all the other schools like UCSB, UCSD, multiple people at a time report being accepted off of appeal. and for this one girl who made her account 3 hours ago to say she got in is kinda sus. I’ll believe it if more people report an acceptance.

@UCLAParent123 arent UCLA appeals really rare though? I thought only 6 were accepted last year.

@thianos when UCSD appeals were released dozens of ppl on reddit said they got in. last year ucsd took a whopping 0/200 off of appeals so idk. I’m still going to take that post with a grain of salt

@thianos they are indeed very rare…but it makes no sense for someone to create an account like just now to post that…there’s already been an incident this morning whether or not they faked it

@UCLAParent123 dont you mean UCSB appeals? I haven’t seen any UCSD appeals accepted yet.

@thianos yup oops

Hi I’ve heard nothing either. I’ve been stalking this thread lately out of nervousness about hearing nothing.

So far that post is the only reported acceptance. A little sus but ok.

At this point can UCLA just reject me already pls

@thianos no he’s right. UCSD took some appeals on the wailist CC. They accepted 0/250ish last year

@UCLAParent123 maybe tomorrow morning is when all the portals will be updated.

If not tomorrow morning, for sure there will be a response next week before the end of the month…

May 1st - there was a wave of UCSD appeal acceptances and rejections. Saw first-hand.

Since ucla only accepts a handful of appeals it’s certainly possible that the reddit user is legit. With appeals at ucla there won’t be mass waves of acceptances since they accept so few. There won’t be mass denials until everything is done because they have to finalize their class and don’t want to lose their options. It sucks for you guys waiting but hang in there.
