@10s4life i agree with you…there’s nothing wrong in having hope…but the person today who posted that, there acceptance letter does look a little odd
Plus I contacted UCLA. I called them in the afternoon yesterday and they said all decisions will come out by the end of May. So please don’t lose hope because you never know!

I have not been following any of your posts yet. But I determined to create an account to get back on the right track. I submitted my appeal decision on the very first day when they opened the appeal portal. I intended to do so cuz I am afraid of the late submission will not be considered. Hence, early birds get worms. Likewise, “No news means good news.” Hopefully, it is a true statement. Finger crossed for all of ya. Let us keep hoping instead of bringing the negative vibe to the other applicants.
P.S: I attached what I received from UCLA to the post.
Dear ________:
We have received your request to reconsider our admission decision for Fall Quarter 2020. We are in the process of reviewing your record again.
Please note that a decision may not be reached until after June 1st so please plan accordingly. Once a decision has been made, the result of your appeal will be posted on this site.
I have a simple question for you. I’m current waiting for the UCLA appeal decision. I don’t know when the decision will be made. Here is the question I have. I got an offer from UCI, but it wasn’t my first choice. The deadline is 06/01/2020. If I decide to take uci’s offer and UCLA release my appeal decision later, can I still switch from UCI s offer to UCLA’s?
@ForeverBlue2092 The answer is yes. Same thing as waitlisted students, they typically get off a waitlist after committing to another school. All you lose is your deposit and any other fees you pay.
from past threads however they did the same thing where they rejected some people at the very beginning April 30th/May 1st, then waited towards the end of May to release another round of rejections. I could be wrong, but no news is definitely not good news.
@samkr14 maybe they’re not accepting anyone this year. The UCLA Facebook class of 2024 is almost at 6,300. Not gonna lie, appealing and the anticipation was entertaining during this pandemic, otherwise I never would’ve appealed in the first place.
@thianos I agree, it’s been fun. Honestly, my hopes aren’t very high but it’s alright. Also that 6000+ fb page is filled w past students and alumni too
I hope you freshman hear back by the end of the month, you have waited so long! Does UCLA typically email you if you got accepted? Or can they also reject you over email?
