There is demographic information on the UC app just like there is personal information such as name and address. However, UC readers do NOT have access to that information when reviewing applications. The data given here is for statistical purposes. It is not used for admissions decisions.
Exactly. Go ahead and keep spreading nonsense - we are already at capacity and don’t need more people moving here and driving housing prices up further
Didn’t say it’s used for admission purposes , what I said is that they do have info on all of the stats . When you open up the admit for each high school they have it broken down. So , yes , they do have the data . That is what I said . I am aware of what the UC app looks like . Thanks .
The UC’s release that data publicly. As they should . It’s all good .
Same here. It’s less than 8% for admit rate for UCLA, UCB, and UCSB for my kids’ school.
I am so confused by this data. For our school it is WAY off from what is in our Naviance system. For example, for class of 2023 it shows our HS had 22 applicants, 14 admitted, and 5 enrolled. By contrast our Naviance shows 11 applicants, 2 admitted and 1 enrolled. I truly doubt we had 22 applicants and I can’t imagine that 14 would get in if we did. I KNOW we didn’t have 5 students enroll. I love the idea of all this data but I’m not sure what it means.
I think our admit number is low also. I checked the Asian population and I told our friends that their kids were two of the 3 asians who got admitted (didn’t show enrolled–that third row) but they told me there were at least 5 asian kids admitted.
You must be using the navigation as ALL UC’s. Please click on the button “campus” and select LA. This will show you just UCLA.
Question for the group. When S21 applied to UCLA, he was sent a specific alumni scholarship app email. My daughter didn’t get it this year and she has better stats than he did. Do they still have that? She went in and did the generic scholarship data input, but no essays like the alumni one.
Nevermind. I just scrolled up. I guess she didn’t get the alumni email. Sorry I don’t know how to delete my initial post.
Thanks! This was super helpful and I was looking at the whole system. BUT even after I switched to just UCLA it shows 15 applied, 3 admits and 0 enrolled. I know for sure one person enrolled. And the other data doesn’t match our system either.
Hello,
I am looking for UCLA 2021/2022 Estimated Undergraduate Student Budget
It is no more available on UCLA web site as they currently have this year fees.
Would someone know how to obtain this information?
Thank you.
They will not list any admissions or enrolled figures if they are below number 3. Just some weird filter they use.
Data is only as good as the input.
Naviance relies on students updating their account for all schools applied. At our local High School, that hit rate is not anywhere near 100%.
The UC data relies on what the students put in their application. For race/ethnicity, be sure to check the Unknown or Decline to State numbers. There are students who choose not to designate their race. There are also students of mixed race who identify themselves as one over the other.
Finally, the field will be blank when there are less than 3 in the population, as explained up thread.
1 is shown as blank. May have something to do with the data being “anonymized” and if they list 1 that person is identifiable.
Naviance is usually garbage, and typically relies on students to self report. Admit data tends to be a little more accurate, but rejections are usually vastly understated.
Do you need this historical information for taxes or something? You could try using the Internet Archive “wayback machine.” Here’s an archive link so you can see how the budget page looked in February of 2022 (for example): Tuition and Fees | UCLA Undergraduate Admission
Does ucla usually release at 3pm or 5pm?
