Yes, she applied as undecided OOS. In fact, it was recommended when she applied to choose undecided even though her resume leaned clearly to communications/radio tv film / theater. She will end up either pre-econ or pre-comm with minor in theater or film which become non-audition based as a minor. Applying undecided will have zero impact on her bc she is looking for business entertainment which can be any L&S major and minors that would have been nearly impossible to get into as a BFA Theater/BA Film.

Any news today?

There will not be anymore ā€œwavesā€. A waitlist is not a place in line, it’s more like a raffle ticket…low odds.

Thanks. I’m in-state.

Hearing this makes sense.

Hoping we all get in! :crossed_fingers:t3:

guys i’ve read for transfer students, waitlist decisions typically come out after june 1st. so if ur a transfer there’s still hope

No hope for non transfers?

i have no clue i’m sorry :frowning:

No freshman waitlist admits go well into June just see last year.

i called ucla! they said waitlist decisions is still open for freshman

thank you!! did they give any other information? and when they say open, does that mean they’re still going to let people in or just open in the sense that they haven’t sent an official email closing it..

also, which number did you call? I was hoping to call some other UCs where I’m waitlisted to see if I can get any insight

hi! im assuming still open as in taking more ppl. how many is unclear but historically, ppl have gotten off in june + july! they said the more they take depends on how many ppl accept/reject their offers. i called via the undergraduate one on their website

will this whole trump thing be a problem for us internationals ?

I think it will be a problem for all of us but, yes, international students will be vulnerable. You are a pawn in his culture war game. None of it makes sense, all of it is cruel
