UCLA Class of 2029 Waitlist and Appeals Discussion

do these latest updates mean anything for OOS and in state students? Would more OOS be admitted due to less intls accepting their offer or would more IS be admitted since intls and IS students seem to be release in the same wave?

I’m guessing what they meant was that your visa status/citizenship isn’t considered within your ā€œgroupā€.

i dont understand when the intl wave will be tho..
it was supposed to be between 24th - 28th may based on data from the previous years
its already 30th and june starts in 2 days, so its probably less likely to expect a major intl wave now i assume, right?

Probably just trickling from here on

My best guess is that one of these two things is happening:

  1. They are waiting this whole Trump situation out a little bit before starting the international ā€œwaveā€ (because some admitted international students might now be unable to attend because of the situation etc). This is purely an assumption.
  2. The more likely situation is that there won’t be another wave, just random offers of admission from now.

i don’t think any wave is possible now but last year there were many intls admitted on 1st June

We shall see tonight

how tonight?

A wave is just a group of admits together so it can happen but not a big wave

barely any intls have gotten off this year, weird.

Wave today pls :grin::grin:
