What time were you notified ?
Looks similar to the movement at UCSD, from last week. OOS and Internationals were being notified. In-state probably after May 1, 2025
Based on last year’s timeline mentioned above by @Gumbymom, it could potential be before May 1! Last year it looks like there was a five day gap between OOS and IS first wave of waitlist decisions.

2024 Waitlist timeline: Thursday May 16 AM admits for OOS/International L&S. Friday May 17, In-state and some OOS Engineering. May 21, In-state L&S and Public Health majors, May 25 International, OOS and in-state admits. June 1 IS L&S admits, June 2 International CS/EE/ME, Public health. Few admits June 4 L&S. June 6 few admits. June 14, June 26, July 11 OOS, July 15 IS/International. Rejections on July 31.
So…I actually see four days between May 16 OOS L&S and May 21 In State L&S majors if you do not count May 16 or May 21.

congrats to everyone that got off!! i have a question tho - i understand that the people that got off were for certain majors, but i applied undeclared at the college of letters and sciences. does this mean that i don’t have a solid chance of getting off bc im not technically helping them fill a major? also im OOS and didn’t receive anything today. is there a chance of more OOS waitlist acceptances coming or were they all today?
L&S applicants major selection is not considered for admission purposes although you can list a L&S major on your application or Undeclared. All admitted L&S students are Undeclared and then need to complete the required courses to declare their major. There is no advantage or disadvantage if you selected Undeclared.
Has anyone got off OOS engineering?
according to the timeline you guys should get it maybe tomorrow or in the next few days. i’m instate L&S so i still have to wait a week

Do WL students get guaranteed housing like the regular admit students?
Waitlist FAQ says it depends. Yes only if you get off before the SIR deadline of May 1. Otherwise, you need to talk with housing and they will try and see if they can give you housing on a first come first served basis but it isn’t guaranteed.

Waitlist timelines change every year so I am not willing to predict when any admits will be notified.
is OOS and internationals the same category or different?
OOS and International applicants are in different applicant pools than in-state applicants.
Any movement today ?
