Is it okay to not submit senior year grades? I had 2 Bs in AP classes senior year, but I also had 2 Bs in my junior year (1 per semester in AP Lang).
Has anyone gotten off without updating grades? I am still writing my waitlist statement though.

If you have 2 Bās for your Senior classes then I would submit. You will be fine.
Hello Gumby mom⦠Thank you for doing what you doā¦I have been so tense after my son got waitlisted, but to have a place where we connect with people with same situation is very helpful. I hope everyone could get off the waitlist.
Hey Gumbymom! Do you know if people can get off the waitlist without submitting senior year grades (but still submitting a statement/LOCI)? My grades arenāt the best, unfortunately. For fall, I have 6 As, 2 Bs, and 1 C; for spring, I currently have 6 As and 3 Bs. This would be the first C since freshman year (which is not looked at), but in my original UC application, I had 5 Bs (2 in sophomore year, 3 in junior year).
I have written a great statement full of updates and UCLA-specific connections, but Iāve been torn over this for weeks now. Any advice would be greatly appreciated.
Unfortunately, I have no idea if waitlisted students that did not submit Senior grades were admitted off the waitlist in the past. UCLA states that the waitlist is just the continuation of the original admission process so I am not sure how much Senior grades will have an impact since they already have your other 3 years of HS grades. Conditions of admission state 2 or more Cās require an explanation and as long as you are maintaining a 3.0 unweighted GPA, you should be fine. This is your decision on whether to report your grades since I cannot advise.
Thanks for responding, I understand. I think I will not report my senior year grades for now.
One more question I have, if I may ask, is if a long waitlist statement is not preferable. They give 7000 characters, and I know generally the more concise it is, the better, but since I have multiple meaningful updates and things to mention, I was wondering if it being very long would particularly detract from my application.
Hi, I think length of the loci doesnāt matter as long as you have included everything you wanted to include. Good luck to all of us
I know thereās a space for us to report or current spring semester grades. Will UCLA consider our finalized senior year grades/transcript or will they only look at what we submit in the reply form when making waitlist decisions?
UCLA will only consider what is reported when opting into the waitlist by the April 15 deadline. Final grades/transcripts are not considered until you are admitted and enrolled.
good luck everyone
hey when do u guys think ucla will start notifying ppl? will it be before 5/1 or soon after?
No ideaā¦waiting is so stressful⦠but lets be hopeful it can be anyday
