Has anyone gotten any response for Transfer Appeal ?
It took about a month after the SIR date for some of the Freshman to receive their appeal decision. I would think closer to the end of June or Early July for Transfers to hear.

I’ve stopped keeping track of the waitlist. Has there been any international wave? or is UCLA not accepting a lot of internationals because of what’s going on with the student visas?

Just asked them about this (if the new visa pause will affect international student chances) and when the waitlist tentatively plans to close for us freshmen through their contact form. Let me see what they reply.

any speculation as to why they haven’t admitted lately? could it be because they’re doing transfers or more likely because they’re just about out of spots?
no idea… probably prioritizing transfers. Do we think there is another wave for freshman engineering? Also, people who got off, did ygs email anyone or show any interest after submitting the waitlist update letter??
At this point, I think it’s naive to expect anything, certainly not another wave, unless this whole thing has been delayed because of the visa pause. I doubt that’s the case though.
Do transfer acceptances take spots from freshmen (or vice versa)? Aren’t the majority entering as 3rd years from California community colleges?
Freshman and Transfers are in separate admission pools.

Okay so they gave a generic answer that they are doing their best to finish reviews for waitlisted applicants, and cannot provide a specific release date or overall end date. They entirely dodged the international student part and visa part of my question and didnt mention a thing about that.
