Congrats on SLO.
Waitlisted. OOS public. 4.0 unweighted (don’t know the UC GPAs), 13 APs (mostly 5s on tests to date), two college classes. Strong ECs/leadership.
Accepted to all other schools so far, including Michigan and UVA. Won’t join the UCLA waitlist.
Congratulations to all of the new Bruins!
D26 waitlisted. In-state, applied to bioengineering.

She tells me that she didn’t expect to get in to UCLA and it wasn’t high on her list anyway (for this major)… but she says that she is very happy for some friends who really wanted UCLA and got in today! ![]()

Daughter was hoping for this one as her older brother is there and loves UCLA!
Applied to History! Hard decision to bypass the School of Theater but figured it would be impossible to get. Also that would’ve added the TFT supplement. Though in retrospect the other UCs that received her theater design portfolio accepted her (Irvine, San Diego) one rationale to apply to letters & sciences at ucla vs TFT is that the student theater club program is phenominal, fun and extensive. To be honest it was a strategic choice, hoping letters and sciences easier to get a spot at than TFT

bit late, but i got in!! this is absolutely huge for me bc i’ve been rejected from so many colleges (colleges that, if looking at pure acceptance rates, are “less competitive”), so this is a huge surprise!! go Bruins!!!
What?!!! I’ve been checking my portal for the last couple of days but I just found out it’s already out?? I have not received a decision
where am I supposed to find it?![]()
Edit: nvm I found it after scouring their website, rejected lol. Wonder why I didn’t receive an email, and the application status on the uc app still shows up as application submitted.
Decisions are posted on each UC campus student portal. You do not check the UC application site for any decisions and not all campuses will send an email.

Good move if you really want UCLA. UCLA was my girl’s dream, but TFT is so competitive & she was rejected. My older kid applied to L&S and got into UCLA with lessor stats than the younger.
