@jedenic Awesome, thank you! Just requested to join. :slight_smile:

In the Admissions Contract, does it say the following for everyone?

"Complete Coursework Requirements:

Complete the following course pattern by June 2019 with C grades or better: two (2) transferable courses in English composition; one (1) transferable course in mathematical concepts and quantitative reasoning; and four (4) transferable courses in at least two of the following subject areas: arts and humanities, social and behavioral sciences, and physical and biological sciences."

@Pastry12 Congratulations on your acceptance as well!! UCLA was my top pick but after getting admitted to berkeley I’m feeling unsure and I’m trying to decide between the two now haha

Congrats on winning your local speech contest too!! I hope you have a lot of fun in Japan (eat some okonomiyaki for me!! I love food in Japan)!
If I have time I’d like to go to Bruin Day, but I’m actually from norcal (literally from berkeley!) so I’m unsure if I can make the trip down to socal in time… ): Are you planning to go?

was anyone admitted as a pre-history major?

Accepted!

@GoodAfternoonSir Did you get in??

Accepted for bus econ!! but probably committing to berkeley for economics
But to all my waitlisted bus econ majors out there, hopefully someone good takes my spot after I reject my ucla offer!!!

I really don’t want to get placed with random people for my dorm. Is there a group on FB or something, we can meet other transfers looking for roommates?

Admitted!!!

IGETC: Will complete Spring 2019

All of these are great schools but I gotta narrow it down to Berkeley and LA…this is a tough decision!!

@stackofsocks Oh you’re from NorCal! UCB is actually doing this program for non-local admitted transfer students where they provide flight/hotel/meals. Signed up but unfortunately there’s limited space. (Think they decide by lottery?) If I’m lucky enough to be selected I’ll be able to visit UCB for bridges transfer weekend (May 3-5)! Going to drive up to LA for bruins day so if you can’t go I can let you know what I find out about our Major + study abroad!

Admitted!

I was so anxious that one of my major courses is in progress. UCLA has been my dream school, but did not expect Cal accepted me!!

Admitted, but the financial aid was underwhelming…and I’m still unnerved that I wasn’t considered for Regents. Oh well, I loathe that side of Los Angeles and UCLA never felt right anyway. I’m still waiting on a handful of private schools, but, as of now, I’m leaning towards Cal. I’m gutted for those who didn’t get in because, as someone who has followed this thread, I could really feel the sincerity coming from many of the posts. Please don’t let this blip affect your upward trajectory!

This is really the best day of my life. I remember my first post on this thread like it was yesterday. To the mods, and most especially @Ohm888, thank you for dealing with our impatient selves. It’s been real and I can’t wait to attend UCLA with you guys this fall.

For those who didn’t get accepted, just know it doesn’t define you. There’s a school out there who will want you, for you. One persons loss is another’s gain.

And to the future psych applicants who will be reading this next year, feel free to hit me up. I can and will help you in the best way possible.

Much love. #GoBruins

Do you think personally going to the admissions office a good idea? Has anyone done smth like that before?

Damn, I am so depressed. Waitlisted for philosophy from both UCLA and Berkeley, accepted to UCI, UCSB, Davis. Is there any chance at all I can get into UCLA still? Has anyone with advice to offer gotten off the waitlist?

@ohhsench
Ya when I got rejected as a freshman, I actually printed my appeal letter and went to the admission office in person and basically, the lady behind the front desk said that I would have to submit the letter through the normal process, so I rebelliously slipped the letter under one of the undergraduate admission officer’s doors and left haha. I didn’t hear anything back from them about my physical letter in particular, but I ultimately did not have my appeal reversed when I submitted it online. However, I do believe in miracles and just because it didn’t work for me, does not mean it won’t work for you. Just sharing my experience. Good luck!

ACCEPTED!
