@halpmehxd if you got admitted you have nothing to worry about in respect to units.
Anybody in Pre-Business Econ will go to Bruin Day following weekend?
Yesterday I came to the Bay Area Reception, the Admission Director and two female staffs who read our application were super nice, and helpful. Especially the lady Heather - Transfer Center Director - was so friendly too. I feel happy that I can be a Bruin.
@anthro101 but what about eligibility for the scholarship? is it the same?
My son would rather find a roommate than leave it up to chance. Any suggestions on websites for finding a UCLA dorm roommate? He is Econ/Bus major, from south OC, surfer who is no drama.
@corvette1971 I recommend your son go to Bruin Day this coming weekend. Yesterday I talked to a cool friendly “kid” who will enroll in Bus/Econ when I went to the Bay Area Reception. I think your son would probably find some matches during Bruin Day. Sorry if I mentioned “kid” but just because I am 35 now, so I used that word to emphasize that guy was 19 only, and yesterday I met a lot of young generation in that range too.
In addition, you can join the UCLA Facebook, there are a lot of subletting ads, looking-for-roommate in a dorm, etc. You must change your primary email on Facebook account into YOUR UCLA mailing address to successfully join the UCLA official group.
Patiently waiting for UCLA to respond to my academic changes. ? I’m sure a withdrawal from a non major prep course shouldn’t effect my admission but I just want to hear it from them already. Sent mine last Wednesday.
@8CLAP4SUP Please let us know what they say!
@8CLAP4SUP ME TOO.
Last Saturday when I met the Admission staffs at Bay Area Reception who read our applications, one staff answered me that it will be okie if it is not pre-reqs because UCLA does not require IGETC. She got my student ID and said that she would take a look on mine, then will ask the assigned staff for my app to answer me soon.
But still waiting patiently.
@Bibihcmvn it felt weird to see my decision letter change, haha. I just want it to go back to normal. ?

Just received my acceptance package in the mail! So fancy, UCLA lol.
Just wanted to know if I was the other illiterate fool here who did not fully read the Regent Scholarship email.
It states that the decisions will come out on the second week of May. Which I am pretty sure would be this week unless they mean literally May 14th lol. I have my money on this Wednesday or Friday though just because thats the days of the week they usually post admissions.
My D received the acceptance package as well and it really is very nice and contains some good information with phone numbers of various resources etc. Fancy a good word for it @vegastransfer ?
I love the effort that UCLA put in their packages. Definitely my favorite one out of all the UCs!
I just received my acceptance packet today too and man is it beautiful! ?
@sugarcane1 what do you mean by “my D”?
@8CLAP4SUP daughter
Hey y’all, I talked to someone from UCLA admissions yesterday and they said the transcripts just have to be postmarked by June 1st, not necessarily delivered by June 1st. So no need to stress about getting them out by mid-May!
I GOT THE REGENT SCHOLARSHIP !!! I AM STILL CRYING
Dear Regents Scholar,
On behalf of the University of California and the UC Board of Regents, I am extremely pleased to offer you a two-year Regents Scholarship to UCLA. The Regents Scholarship is the most prestigious scholarship for incoming UC transfers, and the highest honor the Board of Regents can bestow upon a student at the University.
Of the over 111,000 students who applied for admission to UCLA for fall 2019, only a very small number were invited to compete for the Regents Scholarship. UCLA’s Academic Senate Committee on Honors, Awards, and Prizes has selected you on the basis of your outstanding academic achievement and your demonstrated leadership ability. It is evident that you strive for excellence in and out of the classroom, and that you have the potential to distinguish yourself at UCLA as one of our best and brightest.
In the next few weeks, you will face the important and undoubtedly exciting decision of which college or university to attend – a decision that will significantly affect your future. My colleagues and I hope that you will choose to pursue the next phase of your education at UCLA. We are confident that you will achieve incredible success as a member of our campus community.
For additional information about this scholarship, please review the Regents Scholarship Booklet. If you have further questions, feel free to contact Ms. Alejandra Ramirez, Regents Scholarship Coordinator, (310) 206-9323.
Congratulations on your selection as a Regents Scholar, and welcome to UCLA
