Any news for in-state today? I know it probably will not come any time soon, but I’m still somehow hopeful.
Not too hopeful for today but at the same time I honestly wouldn’t be surprised if it did come out today
It was already starting to come out by 6 yesterday, so probs not.
I got off the waitlist for Mechanical Engineering at 6:49 am!! (In state)
Congrats!! @yeyeyeye16, nvm then
@Gumbymom Could they be going by school? Since that major is in the engineering school? IN-state and getting nervous…
The other one I saw on Reddit was also engineering, so potentially
Which thread was it on, if you dont mind sharing.
r/ApplyingToCollege, it was someone who got off for compEng in-state
In the past, Engineering has had only a few admits from the waitlist but all anyone can do is just wait and see. The number of available spots changes from year to year and along with the trends for admission.
i’ve been lurking for a while but i just got off the waitlist for electrical engineering in state. good luck everyone
Saw a few for for comp sci and Computer Engineering on reddit. I think they are doing in-state engineering school at the moment.
Are we predicting all of L&S waitlists to come out on the same day (as engineering did surprisingly today)?
Saturday, May 6 last year was their huge wave of admits (IS, OOS, and International) within the L&S I believe. Hopefully tomorrow, as I think it’s done for the day.
My DS24 (IS) got off waitlist. Major=CS. 4.0 uw through 1st semester of 12th grade. Weighted GPA of 4.51. I am glad that his hard work paid off.
Kids who are waiting anxiously, hang in there. I hope you make it off the waitlist. You will do great where ever you go.
@Gumbymom So I was looking and saw that the School of Engineering had a low acceptance rate (around 4%). Do you think this may be good news for waitlisted students overall, since we are already seeing admits, and quite a few (don’t know if there have been more posts on threads in recent years on average).
Congrats to your son! Did he receive an email about getting off the waitlist or did he just check the admissions portal?
He received an email stating that there was an update to his decision. He nervously opened the application portal.
Ah I see. I’m also nervously waiting as a CS major. Hoping for the best
