We made similar decision on different major weeks ago, we chose UCLA for the probability of residency dispute.
For Microbiology major, it’s ranked slightly higher at U of M. Either one is fine.

I got of the waitlist today!! INTL student from Canada and got in L&S for Data Science!! It’s not over yet!!

It looks like the only people who are getting off at this point are OOS and Intl students! 
I suspect that they have filled up all of the ISS spots. I’ve lost hope, but maybe a miracle will happen.
