UCLA Regents Scholarship Notification

Any news regarding the Scholarship?

I called and talked to someone else besides Alex Ramirez because I kept getting her voice mail and didn’t want to leave her a message. They asked and said that there was a “glitch” in the system and to look tomorrow. So hopefully that means that by tomorrow all of the decisions will be up. This is the deal breaker for me… Good luck everyone :)

Good to hear Indie.

Do you know how many regents scholarships will be awarded?

can anyone still not see their financial aid award??..I still can’t see mine, but my document status says completed.

Thanks Indie. The question is, look where? Sign into the admissions site again? That’s what I’m assuming.

@ILoveLA24: Go to your MyFAO and “access” the document

I got Regents! I am so blown away by this, as I never really expected to, and was already over the moon at being admitted to UCLA.

For those still wondering how to know if you were awarded it or not, log in to MYUCLA and under the “Features” bar select “Financial Aid”.

When I went to my Financial Aid page there was new document “Created 4/27/11” that directed me to the Regents Award notification.

Good luck folks!

i swear to god I hate this internet connection!!!#@#J@J@LOJ@L@

damn, no dice :(

nothing, anyway congratulations Global!

congrats global!
thanks howardryan, I was able to check my fin. aid…no regents
anybody else get it?

@IloveLA24: no problem. I guess I could stop dreaming about Regents.

I didn`t get the regents. Neither did my friend, 4.0 Business major. They said they notified everyone already who was chosen. Congrats to those who were selected! :)

I have good news!!!

I was kind of bummed when I saw that I hadn’t received any notification about the Regents Scholarship (my Regents application essay was the best essay I’ve written IMO, and my recommendation letter was from a pretty esteemed professor from Berkeley that I had last semester), so I called the UCLA Financial Aid Office, and there is still hope! The woman I talked to said that they just sent out the letters in the mail to the students selected for the Regents scholarship. She said that not everyone who received the scholarships received electronic notifications via myUCLA / myFAO, and to wait a few days to see if I receive a letter.

Keeping my fingers crossed!

@1235192: damn. I really hoped they would send letters to all students who applied, in regardless of whether chosen, so that we have a very clear idea instead of waiting endlessly.

^ They sent letters to those who didn’t receive the scholarship as well.

Congratulations UCLAGlobal!

@Boston: Thanks for the info. Did you get it?

@1235192

I hope that’s real (good) news and not just wishful thinking  I still have hope to receive that letter, although it would have been nice to see the electronic notification.

Do you guys know how many applicants there are and then how many are actually awarded the scholarship?

Hopefully I get the Regents Acceptance in the mail. If not, then it’s off to UCI for me (they were kind enough to notify me about Regents electronically :))

1235192-thanks for the hope  I think that’s really weird that they wouldn’t notify or would be unable to notify others via online. I almost kind of hate how the Regents works out. If I don’t get it, then I’m going to feel like such a loser! However, I think we need to realize the great accomplishments we have made so far. I’m kind of taking the Regents as a sign, as my Cal Poly SLO SIR is due in like 3 days and I’m so wishy washy over which of the two schools to choose. :/

Hm… good luck everyone.

Call me weird, but I wonder if it helps to have submitted our SIR’s by now. Why would they want to give the Regents to those who might not be attending? Is that crazy thinking?
