UCONN Class of 2023

Crazy. We just got 2-3 inches.

I got the letter today in central MA and got accepted into Honors and got merit aid (Mech E major). Luckily the mail still got delivered with about 5" of snow!

i have a 3.83 1350 and a 29 and i’m oos my friend who has a 30 act and a higher gpa got 15k also oos. i do not have the link for scholarship but i have not opened letter. how is it possible that i did not get any money but she got so much? rediculous

First time here, although I have been reading CC for a while now. I would appreciate thoughts on the nursing programs at UCONN and FAIRFIELD? Awaiting Uconn merit received 25K from Fairfield and honors program.

@janeeyre1 If you get merit aid it will be in the letter. Also each applicant is different so there are factors besides test scores that UConn looks at like extracurriculars and which classes were taken to evaluate merit aid.

ok

OOS and received $18,500 a year. With merit, uConn, EDel, quinnapiac and Scranton are all about the same. Now which one to choose for DPT program?

For those who got merit, did you have the link on the portal.

what if we got our letter today but no scholarship info? assuming that means no merit or honors?

also what if we applied to ACES but we know what we want to do for a major like is that a bad thing or can we just declare later?

@janeeyre after meeting with admissions they told memerit was based strictly on class rank…you need to be in top 10% of class to get merit so kids with similar stats may or may not qualify based on rank…especially if you are from different high schools as top 10% stats will differ from school to school
My S has almost identical stats as you and he got nothing as he’s in top 15% at his high school

Does the merit vary from person to person that was in the top 10%

@our4kds she said 15-18k I think higher is for STEM for Oos…didn’t ask about instate

Mail literally should be here in 10-15 minutes! How would you rank UConn vs Farfield for nursing?

Got my letter in NH today! I got the $18.5k scholarship and got into the honors program

@ourkids Both are quality programs, but very different environments. If cost is the same, go to the one that gives the experience desired…large/rural vs. small/suburban.

I got my letter today and I got a 15k/yr scholarship!
OOS (NJ)
ACT: 30
UW GPA: 3.8
Program: ACES Pre-Sport Management

@random57895 out of curiosity are you in the top 10% of your class?? Congrats!

D received STEM Academic Excellence Scholarship for 18500 and honors invite. Stats: NJ, nursing, 4.15 WGpa, school doesn’t rank but is top 10% based on HS profile, 1430 SAT, tons of ECs and leadership. All decisions and financial information are known, and the field has been narrowed to UConn, UDel and UVM. Planning first visit to UConn and follow-ups to the others.

D received STEM scholarship for $20K and honors invite. 101 average, top 5% and 34 ACT. Admitted to Storrs for Biological Sciences.
